Data Explorer (Overview)
Overview of the Data Explorer and its sections (Events, Services, Processes, Software, Devices, Tasks, Startup).
Data Explorer — Overview
The Data Explorer is your main window into everything happening on your Windows system. It brings all your important data together—organized, searchable, and easy to understand. No more digging through menus or guessing what’s going on.
What you’ll find
- Events: Browse Windows event logs with clear filters, severity markers, and plain-English explanations.
- Services: See which services are running or stopped, their startup type, status, and configuration.
- Processes: View every running process, with CPU and memory usage, parent-child relationships, and details like command line and signatures.
- Software: See all installed apps, when they were installed or updated, and publisher info.
- Devices: Check detected hardware, drivers, and device status.
- Tasks: Review scheduled tasks, their triggers, and last run results.
- Startup: See what apps and services run at boot.
How to use the Data Explorer
- Open Data Explorer from the main menu. Pick a section (Events, Services, Processes, etc.) to focus on what matters to you.
- Use column filters, time-range selectors, and severity levels to narrow down results fast.
- Click any item to open a details window. Everything is organized for easy copying—copy as plain text or export as JSON to share with support or teammates.
Tips for getting the most out of it
- Combine severity and time filters to zero in on recent critical issues.
- Use the Web Search feature (click the logo) to send selected data to your favorite search engine or AI for deeper answers.
- Export details to share with support or keep a record for troubleshooting.
WinDEETS makes your system data clear, actionable, and ready for you to use—no matter your experience level.
